I fell a little behind these past few weeks with my 52 week project so here is one big blog post with the missing photos! And now I’m back on track and ready to hopefully be on time again with my photos! Hope you enjoy these!
Week 8 – Bright:
This week I went to my sweet friend, Michelle’s birthday and celebrated her with some amazing friends and it was such a lovely day. I also had my mom’s family over to celebrate my own birthday this week (we are quite a big family so we need to do it over several days, but I don’t mind that at all!).
Week 9 – Color Blind:
This week it was my birthday! Woohoo! It’s not too bad turning 21 for the second time in a row after all 😉 This week I celebrated with my dad’s side of the family and the actual birthday was spent quite calm and relaxed with a delicious brunch and some amazing food for dinner (can you tell i love food?) and I also had some company over in the afternoon which was great! Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday!
Week 10 – Soft:
Today was such a lovely day! We went out for a really long walk and the weather was amazing! The sun was shining while walked trough the woods. It was a sight for the Gods! So beautiful and amazing. Nothing much happened this week but I love weeks like this where there is no stress and everything is just so calm – it’s so good for my soul. Tomorrow we are going to celebrate my littlest cousin’s birthday with a lovely brunch!
Happy Saturday, friends! Hope you are having an amazing weekend! 🙂
This week was full of birthdays in my family! Both my paternal grandma, and my little brother had their birthdays this week and so time was spent celebrating them both while we were on vacation. Now we are back home again and ready to take on a new week filled with school, a new theme for my 52 week project and one of my friend’s birthdays! It should be a great week, and I can’t wait to take another photo for this new week’s theme! Stay tuned for that photo later this week!
And here is my photo for the theme “Focused”. These two were very focused on playing their frisbee, and I was focused on them.
Happy Monday, and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you! x
First of all I apologize for this being late! I was on vacation last week and just didn’t want to spend all my time on the computer so I postponed my post until I was back home again! Hope that is okay because I still took the photos for the themes!
It was an amazing vacation and I enjoyed my time away from school and the daily life. We swam a lot in the indoor pool (way too cold to swim outside!) and took long walks on the beach as you will see below. We ate amazing food and just enjoyed ourselves and had fun playing games and relaxing inside where it was much warmer than outside. We drank hot chocolate after walking in the freezing weather and it was just very cozy in general! That little trip was so needed, and I’m so thankful we got to do it with my father’s family! There is nothing better than spending time with family in my opinion!
Here is my photo for the theme “My Paradise”. The beach is definitely my paradise, and if I could, I’d live on it forever.
Happy Monday and I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend with your loved ones! x
I struggled a lot this week as to what I should do. I felt really behind all week because I had my exam on Thursday, and I studied like crazy in the days leading up to that so I had practically no time for photos or no time to think about it really. All my energy went to the exam. Then Friday I was completely tired and felt hit by a bus from all the nerves and “excitement” leading up to the day before so I didn’t feel like taking pictures also because I had no idea what to photograph! Then Saturday came around, and I just wanted to do nothing and relax, and I was still out of ideas for the theme. Then suddenly here we are on Sunday and I was still not coming up with anything, and I had to think fast so I asked my friends what they thought I should do and one of them suggested music. And then from there I knew exactly what I wanted to do! So I asked my brother to model for me and play his guitar because it is such beautiful “noise” that comes from that. He’s such a rock star! Thank you for helping me out little brother, I owe you one 😉
Happy Sunday, friends! Enjoy x
This weeks theme was amazing for me! There are so many things I find joy in, that bring me joy and that I find joyful so I had hundreds of ideas floating inside my head. That unfortunately also meant that only one of these ideas could come to life (at least for this weeks photo). I had a hard time narrowing down what exactly I wanted to do with this theme because I found that there were endless possibilities! Ultimately I had to go with my first intuition and idea and photograph my wonderful dog, Nicky. He is the most caring, kind and sweet dog you will ever meet. And quite frankly I think he is also the cutest, but I might be biased… 😉
Without further ado here is the caption and photo for week 4 of my little Project 52!
Caption: You are the most amazing dog, and I couldn’t ask for a better family member than you. I’m so lucky I get to call you mine, and that I get to see you each and every day. I love when we go for walks together and you want to smell everything. You can do so many tricks like sit, lie down, shake hands and play dead – I think that’s pretty good for such a small dog like you! I’ve been trying to teach you more languages (because i’m a language nerd), and when we are getting ready to take a walk, I will ask you in both German and English if you would like to go for a walk, and you either respond with this cute head tilt like you do below or with nothing at all. We’re still working on it, and you’re definitely getting better, but so far only Danish is what you will respond to and can understand. You bring me so much joy and when I come home, even if I have just been gone for 5 minutes, your face lights up in joy and happiness, and you wag your tail like crazy. I can’t stop smiling whenever I look at you and your sweet and cute little wrinkly face. When you tilt your head like you do in the photo it melts my heart. You are the best dog a girl could ask for, and I love you to pieces! ❤
Happy Wednesday, friends! x
Here we are! Already at week 3 of this project! It’s a little crazy that almost 3 weeks of the new year has already passed. I can’t really wrap my mind around it. This week was great. I met up with some friends from uni, and we had a great time catching up and talking about everything under the sun. It was great to get my mind a little off the exam and have breakfast out. It was absolutely delicious! Although we did discuss the exam it made me a bit more calm about it all. I have been (and still am) extremely nervous about this exam, and I don’t know exactly why it is so much different with this particular exam. Usually I’m nervous (of course), but never so long before it takes place and never this much. it’s as if I just can’t calm myself down and assure myself that I will be fine. i’m definitely still working on this, but it’s going better for now.
And now on to the photo of the week! This week the theme was “inside”. Caption: “As I look out my window from inside I study the raindrops and the light from the streetlights that make the raindrops sparkle like little diamonds. It makes me reflect on so many things going on in my life right now, and it calms my mind and spirit.”
Happy Thursday! x
This week I was slow to take my photo. I wasn’t even sure I was going to be able to take a photo despite my commitment from last week. This week has been rough, but I know better times are ahead – I just have to look a bit further to find them. So without further ado here is my photo for week 2 with the theme “imperfection”. And that theme perfectly describes how this week was – totally and completely imperfect, but it taught me so much about myself, my life and who I can count on when I really need it.
The caption for this weeks photo: “This photo is the essence of imperfection. The person who took it is imperfect (me – I’m not perfect and will never claim to be. I go through struggles and good times, and I don’t have a perfect life despite what anyone may or may not think), the photo itself is imperfect (the focus is off, the photo was very noisy before I edited it, the exposure is not perfect, the colours are not what I originally wanted, the composition is not after “the book” – I think you get what I mean), the subject of the photo is imperfect (the flower was fading and turning brown). But you know what? It doesn’t matter. Imperfection is everywhere. Nobody/nothing is perfect and we have to accept that it is totally okay.”
Happy weekend, friends! Hope it is a beautiful one for you!
